The mother of all stupidity...

Why on Gods green earth can't I paste in XP?

All of a sudden, COPY and PASTE seem to have been disabled.

This is in Word, Access and Excel (somewhat).

I can copy (usually), but when I hit the PASTE button, nothing happens.
This is in tables, plain text...everything.

Any ideas?

Not sure why you can't paste but have noticed one little quirk with the
Office clipboard. If you have something in the Windows clipboard and open an
Office program that has the Office clipboard enabled - the contents of the
Windows clipboard gets dumped. Wait to do the "copy" or "cut" step until
after you open an Office program. Then do the paste.
