password used to create windows

I have a sony PC a HP 600 printer and verizon dsl. I can
say I have never had as many problems as I do now. I have
2 users listed my wife and myself. I am using my wifes
access because I cannot bring up my info at all. I was
working on something I can't even remember but I shut
down the computer for the night. The next day i tried to
access my information and the computer asked for a
password.I tried the only one I use. This was rejected
and a clue came up. The clue dog could only be used with
the password I used stella my dogs name. Can anyone help
me get this password request deleted from my name. I am
the only one who uses this computer . thanking whom ever

You can download from various sites, a small linux image and burn it to cd.
On this cd will be a small bootable linux dist with a program in the
equivalent autoexec.bat file. This program will allow you to reset local
users passwords without the old password in windows 2000 and windows xp.
The people at the alt.os.windows2000 newsgroup will be able to recomend some
freeware downloads of this sort.
