system Boot

[Roma]

i have to operating system in my computer
win98 and winxp
the problem is
i have two hard disk on disk ther is 2 partion and the
second hard drive one partion
in the first hard drive (Primary )i have windows Xp and in
the second hard drive ( Slave ) Windows 98
i can't boot to the windows (98,XP)if the both hard drive
Enabled from bios , that's mean must be one of the hard
drive enabeled and the second disabeled how i can fix the
problem

Hi,

Sounds like both drives may be jumpered the same, but one should be =
master (MS), one slave (SL). How was this originally setup and did it =
work at one point? If it did, what have you recently changed?

hi
the problem not with jempar settings , every thing ok
the problem must be in the boot .ini
because the windows must detect from where it must to take
the boot files because the message from computer about
error dosen't detect the NTLDR
i think that in the boot disk must be bootabels files for
both widows winXP, WIN98.

Hi,

Open boot.ini in notepad and copy/paste the contents into a reply. Also, =
please state where on the system ntldr is located. If you cannot see =
these files, go to folder options and enable the viewing of hidden and =
system files.
