Does anyone know if there is a way to get the backup to
create the ASR Recovery Disk on something other than a
floppy? I'm backing up my laptop and don't use a floppy.

Hi Rich, Tracey,

I need the same info, but unfortunately Rich, you did not
answer the question (I checked the links). The ASR disk
is not a bootable disk nor is it supposed to be. When
running the ASR, you boot with the XP CD and when
prompted, insert the floppy. The purpose of the floppy is
to store info about disk partitions, volumes, etc. Like
Tracey, I have a new laptop to configure and it does not
come standard with a floppy drive. Is there a way to get
around this?

Hi Chris, Tracy, if you have a cdr-cdrw drive you can backup to a folder
on the hard drive and from there
copy the folder to a cdr-cdrw.
