Hi,
I tried to perform the following to increase the internet
browsing speed, I go this from an forum. Now while trying
to import the reg file (step 7) it prompts an error
message stating that dnstuning.reg is not a valid reg.
file.
1. Open a blank file like Notepad.
2. Click File and select Save As.
3. Name the file as "dnstuning.reg" and save it on the
Desktop.
4. Click Start and select Run.
5. In the Open box, type Regedit and click OK. The
Registry
Editor window opens.
6. Click the File menu and select Import.
7. In the open window, select the dnstuning.reg saved on
the
Desktop.
8. Click OK.
The dnstuning.reg file is saved in the registry at the
following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Dnscac
he\Parameters
The following entries are found in the dnstuning.reg:
"CacheHashTableBucketSize"=dword:00000001
"CacheHashTableSize"=dword:00000180
"MaxCacheEntryTtlLimit"=dword:0000fa00
"MaxSOACacheEntryTtlLimit"=dword:0000012d
Close the registry and restart the computer.
Can some one help on this issue.
