I am replacing my main system board from an AOpen board
to an Intel D865PERLX. When I restart my system I get a
blue screen - A problem has been detected and windows has
shut down. Stop:0x0000007B (Windows XP PRofessional)
What do i do?

Does the AOpen board have the same chipset as the Intel? If not, you might
need to do a repair or at worst reinstall.

Hi Bruce
One option is to do a new clean installation... and a lot of users, myself
included, prefer to do just that.
But, after a major hardware change, such as the one you have completed, you
will at least need to do a repair install (also known as an in-place
upgrade).
This will reconfigure XP to suit the new hardware.
For details on this procedure see the following Knowledge Base article
How to Perform an In-Place Upgrade (Reinstallation) of Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q315341&ID=KB;EN-US;Q315341
After doing this you may need to re-activate your installation of XP. If it
has been more than 120 days since you last re-activated you should be able
to activate over the internet, otherwise it will require a short phonecall.
After the repair install you will need to re-install any XP service packs
and updates.
The other alternative, as I said, is a clean install of XP. You should back
up any important files before embarking on either procedure.
Hope that helps
Pete

Greetings --
Unless the new motherboard is virtually identical to the old one
(same chipset, same IDE controllers, same BIOS version, etc.), you'll
need to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation, at
the very least:
