How does print screen work in Windows XP? In 98, I was
able to hit print screen to capture a screen shot then
open clipboard viewer to see it. I can't see where to do
it now.

Thanks for the help!

It still works the same way, if you open the program you want to put the
image into and paste it in.

Better still get irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com/

Greetings --

This hasn't changed.

Pressing the <PrtScn> key copies the entire display to the
clipboard. Pressing <ALT>+<PrtScn> copies only the active Window to
the clipboard. To view the screen capture, open a graphics program,
such as MS Paint, and press <CTRL>+V. This will paste the contents of
the clipboard (your screenshot) into the open file, and allow you to
view it or save it as a file for later use.

There is no default shortcut to the clipboard viewer in XP. However, you
can create one. The file is CLIPBRD.EXE and is in the Windows\System32
folder.

It works exactly the same way. To use the clipboard viewer go to
Start | Run and type clipbrd.

Or paste the image into any program that supports graphics:
Microsoft Paint, another graphics program, even your favorite
word processor. You can print it from there, or manipulate it as
desired first.
