View Full Version : folder cannot retain customization?

peter
April 23rd 04, 01:54 PM
I have a folder that is showing icon view.

If I change it to details view, change to another folder, then come back to
this folder, it reverts to icon view. What could possibly be wrong?

I notice the folder has a grey check mark on the read-only property. If I
uncheck it, click ok and then look at the folder properties again, it agains
shows the grey check mark.

I also used tweakUI to change "Folders to remember" to 2000, but that
shouldn't have an effect on this problem since I'm just changing one folder.

Hi Peter,

TweakUI's "remember folder settings.." is not effective. You may download the following registry
edit and run it, which will fix the folder customisation problem.

Increase folder view size to 8000 (line 2, left column)

| Hi Peter,
|
| TweakUI's "remember folder settings.." is not effective. You may download
the following registry
| edit and run it, which will fix the folder customisation problem.
|
| Increase folder view size to 8000 (line 2, left column)
