Recently I found a small program called "hd_speed" which measures the speed
of HDDs and CD-ROMs. There is an option to test the burst rate reading,
which as far I know is compatible only for hard drives. So I checked the
speed of my LG CD-RW with that option enabled and since than the CD-RW reads
disks at a slower speed. Is it possible the drive to have been damaged by
that program with that option enabled ?
