View Full Version : DVD Writing

Hi,

I have recently installed XP Professional and am getting used to the
differences between Win2K. I have installed a DVD RW (NEC 1300). I dragged
some files across onto the drive and Windows pops up a window/explorer. In
the top left it has CD Writing Tasks. If I click the Write these files to
CD, I eventually get told the CD is either not writable or full. Does
anybody know how I can get Windows to work with this drive, or know of any
better software for DVD writing?

Thanks,

Nick.

Nick;

ALL drives come with software. If yours did not, you should return it to
the place of purchase for exchange or refund.

Then you are going to need a software such as Nero or Roxi and hope they
work with your drive. How did you get a DVD writer that did not come with
burning software.

They saw you coming....sold you the drive and then solld the software to
someone else. Now you'll have to spend the money you "saved" to buy
software that should have come with the drive. And, since it came in a bag,
you probably have a used or a returned unit. Please do not buy from them
again. You got ripped.
