Hello again... I posted this question a couple days ago
and received good info - thanks guys!. I have an older,
smaller hard drive that I am afraid is going out -
intermittent obscene noises. I originally wanted to add
my new HD, a 46gb Deskstar, upload everything from my 13GB
and remove it. I was told to designate new HD as master,
load up WinXP, then switch it to slave, then transfer
wanted files, leaving old as slave. The problem I am
running into is that I have WinXP upgrade package from
Win98 and cannot find the old 98 disk. I have the boot
floppy but cannot go any further. Does anyone have
another suggestion? Also, my P.C. is a little older,from
1999, will I have a problem with the 46gig HD or will
partitioning remedy that? - thanks ahead!! I greatly
