CD disk wont load

I was changing from one CD, not music but instructional,
to another. When I tried to access the disk, it gave the
pop up that no disk was in the drive.
Now, it does not recognize any type of disk.

I need to finish my on line course and can not access the
disk, any ideas?

Use device manager to remove the CD drive(s) and they should
be re-detected and the drives installed again by plug and
play.
