Hardware:
ASUS P4B Motherboard
Intel P4 2.4ghz 400mhz FSB
1gb SD-RAM
Situation:
Ok, I had a p4 1.7ghz 400mhz FSB chip installed, and
everything worked flawlessly. I have since upgraded
fromteh 1.7 to a 2.4ghz 400mhz FSB chip. When I replaced
that chip the computer now reboots when the computer is
told to shut down.
I have tried running a repair install of Windows XP Home,
as well as turned the "Automatically Restart" option under
the "System Failure" section of the Startup and Recovery
settings.
I do not have any roxio software installed on the PC.
I have turned off any Advanced Power Managment options in
the BOIS, as well as updated the BOIS to the latest
version provided by ASUS.
The only devices plugged into the computer are Keyboard,
Mouse, Monitor, and Power.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
