Installed new AMD Processor to my motherboard,when I
booted my computer the bios says unknown processor.
Can any body tell me what is wrong

Greetings --

Does your motherboard support AMD CPUs? If so, have you set any
necessary jumpers to the correct configuration for the new CPU?
Consult the motherboard's manual.

Depending on how new your CPU is and how new the BIOS version is, it may not
display XP2700+ , for example, but the CPU may still be running at it's
proper stock speed. Right click on My Computer and choose Properties. On the
bottom of the General tab, what does it read ? Also, what CPU have you
installed ?

which Mobo and Cpu are you trying to run?

You may need a bios upgrade to match the new cpu rating.

have you made sure your board will support the processor??
