"View" settings

How does one change the "view " Settings in xp so that
the Default is of the users Choice? Pre set settings
default seems to be "Icons", I prefer "Details"!

Greetings --

In Windows Explorer, configure a folder to be just the way you
like it, and then: Tools > Folder Options > View > Apply to All
Folders.
