Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your video
drivers?

Actually I haven't. But theres a reason. They don't have
the drivers for an ATI mobility M6. (well, thats the card
my system says I have!) any way. Hey, if you know where I
might be able to get it... I would be more than happy to
find it. But my warrenty is up with HP and Microsoft
won't help, and ati just had no ideas about the mobility
M6. Really wierd!

Try this site:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?
product=83862&lang=en&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&os=228

They list a "driver package" for computers running
windows XP, so I'm guessing that it contains all the
drivers that you'll need for your system (it's pretty big
too, 43 megs, which also gives some idea that it's not
just for one device).

You can give that a shot. From the way it sounds, you
won't loose anything by trying it out.

Also, there should be a recovery CD that came with your
laptop if you bought it new. If you bought it second hand
and you never got the CD, then your best bet is on the HP
website.

A good habit to get into, get all the drivers that you
need for your computer and burn them onto a CD. That way
if anything goes wrong, you know exactly where to look
for your first shot at fixing the problem.

Hope this helps,

Nick

Cool... I'll try that out!
But I was wondering... last night I was searching for a
driver and I found a Dell-AIT mobility M6 driver on some
spanish site. I was just curiouse if it would be
incampatible (dang I screwed that word up, lol) with and
HP computer since it says it's for a dell.
the site is:
http://www.dinoxpc.com/News/news.asp?
ID_News=4486&What=Files
Type in "ATi Mobility M6 drivers" in the search

and also what If I downloaded the Mobility M4 drivers at
the ati site... it probably would be incompatable huh?
