So many problems... I need some help!

Hi... I'm having so many problems with my computer and I need some help!
1) I just scanned my comp. for viruses and two were found and deleted. But how do I know if my computer was defected and how do I fix it?

2) I'm lucky if I get to open a web page after being connected. This is what happens: I connect to the internet (dial up) and it connects. But when I try to open a page it says that the page cannot be found. I tried the Internet Explorer Troubleshoot and e
verything. I have to keep tyring. I don't understand! I am connected to the internet, but the web pages say Im not.

3) Virtual Memory Minimum too low. I keep getting this message. My computer gets slow, and i try to shut i down, it takes forever so i just unplug it. And when i turn it on again, it turns on like nothing wrong happened before. Isn't it supposed to scan fo
r any damages made when shut down abruptly???
Well, I increased the memory, but it still freezes. And why doensn't my computer scan for damages on the start up when the shut down was forced???
