I just purchased a WD 200GB HD. It is my second HD but I
am getting errors every time I try to copy and files to
it.
Kernal_Stack_Inpage_error
Deleting File Record, RP Index$I30 (dumping Files)
Delayed Write Failed

WD says it is an XP problem, can anyone help??

Please e-mail me the response, someone out their has to
be smarter the WD <G>

This HD is installed directly into my motherboard also.

Assuming you have KT4 Ultra (MS-6590), one of the fix in BIOS 1.3 is "Fixed
system sometimes will have IDE CRC error". Does it apply to you?

Hi there

According to the FAQs on the MSI webpage for this motherboard (MSI KT4
Ultra - MS-6590) the maximum hard drive size supported is 160GB.

http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=356&MODEL=MS-6590

The FAQ link is on the right hand side of the page linked above. (copy and
paste the entire link into your browser)

Hopefully, you have the sp1 installed and your BIOS is new enough to
reconize over 137gb. If not and you have formatted it to 200 gb you may be
corrupting data.
