I've found the some software (InCD with a CDRW in drive)
lock the drive closed, allowing it only to be opened by a
right click on the drive icon in "my computer" Menu has
option to "eject"
If that doesn't work, there may be a fault with drive. A
straightened paper clip in the tiny hole at the front of
drive should allow to to open it manualy (turn off pc 1st)
This can be a bit fiddley, bit like fishing in the dark..
