Hi,
I've just upgraded from WIN98se to XP home edition. I
keep setting the taskbar to my preference, quick launch
enabled, language bar disabled, taskbar locked to the
left of the screen with large icons etc. But every time
I reboot it reverts to default? What's going on?

Create a new user account and see if this happens here as well. If no,
logoff all users and logon as the Administrator. Go to the Control
Panel > System > Advanced > User profiles > Settings to copy the old
account on top of the new one. If still all is well afterwards, you
can delete the old user profile.

Hi,
Set your preferences, then run this edit:
Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
If that doesn't help, seek some of the measures offered here:
