View Full Version : Webcam installation problem: not recognizing the hardware

April 24th 04, 11:09 PM
im trying to install a Micro Innovations Webcam with my notebook
computer (WinXP Home). When I plug it into USB, it recognizes it as a
"USB Device" but not as the webcam, so it doesn't actually know which
drivers to install. When I plug it into my desktop, it recognizes it
as a Webcam and installs with no problem.

Even when I install the drivers before plugging in, it sill only
recognizes it as a "USB Device" and not as a Webcam.

Pointing it to the installation CD doesn't seem to help either.

Any ideas?
