I need help!

I recently installed XP, over my Win98, and now my battery
on my Sony VAIO won't recharge. The icon appears in the
taskbar like usual, only now it sits on "0% remaining,
charging." Nothin' happens.
So, I rightclicked on the batteryscope application under
programs, and went to "compatibility options," but WinXP
is not on the list. Is there a .dll file I need to
download or something?
If someone could email me help at ,
I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks much,
Allison

Visit Sony support to see if they have a version of BatteryScope that works
with XP. This is a motherboard tool. You may need to upgrade your BIOS as
well to use it. If an update is not available that you can use, ask Sony
about using the basic battery charging interface in XP. It may suffice but
will not have the extra bells and whistles of BatteryScope.
