I see that MS has again posted upgrade #811493 as a
critical update available for instalation......does
anyone know if this is now safe and problem free or does
it still have the same old problem of slowing the
computer down?

Thanks,
Deloy

I installed the new 811493 update a few days ago. I haven't had any =
problems such as the computer slowing down like I did with the original =
update released a few weeks ago.

Hi,

Yes, it is reposted after Microsoft addressed the issues in the prior =
release. I've not seen anyone with a problem with the new version.

I uninstalled the original 811493 through Add/Remove in the Control =
Panel right after the slowdown problem was publicized. I downloaded the =
new one from Windows Update a few days ago.
