Hello

Can someone help me?

I was using dial up and was able to communicate by messenger via a
webcamera(both video and audio). I just switch to Verizon DSL and can
not establish audio connection any more. I have Westell 2200 modem.
When I call Verizon, they told me it is a known problem and is in the
process of being solved. Can I believe this? DSL is worse than dial up
in this matter.

Is this true? Any solutions?

Your help is greatly appreciated

Greetings Joseph,

You're probably seeing this because the default settings for the Westell 2200 is to act like
a router (which won't allow audio/video to function without UPnP support which it does not
have). To fix this, follow the instructions as shown here:
http://support.easystreet.com/easydsl/equipment/westell/westell-setup.htm
Under Step 9, make sure that you chose "Bridge" as the Mode (*not* Routed Bridge).

Note that after this is finished, the router will need to reboot, you'll also need to reboot
your PC to make sure that the new settings reflect in both Windows and Messenger.
