View Full Version : Add Printer

When I click "Add Printer" the wizard does not start. Instead I get an
error window saying "Operation could not be completed". Research indicated
that my print spooler service is not running. Admin tools show automatic
but status is blank instead of running. When I try to start it I get "could
not start print spooler service on local computer. Error 5 Access denied.".
I am logged in as Administrator and there are no other printer drivers
installed. TIA

WHY DO YOU RUDELY IGNORE THE THREAD THAT YOU BEGAN SEVERAL DAYS AGO? YOU
MAY REMEMBER; IT'S THE ONE WHERE I TRIED TO ASSIST YOU.

Admittedly I made an error initially, but I made it right. And I apologized
for my mistake. If my feedback is not helping you, and/or you want
additional feedback...fine. That's certainly your right. But you went
ahead and posted a SECOND thread with the same plea. (And you were
rightfully admonished by another poster) And now here you are posting a
THIRD time!

It's embarrassing.

You also made a second error when you ignored the fact that I said I can't
ADD A PRINTER. Your suggestions were as far off as you are now. Why the
hell won't you leave me alone and stay out of my posts? Your help is
neither requested or wanted. Don't you get it? You are the rude one for
badgering me. Get a life, you are no Tech.

Thanks but install/repair fixed my problem.
You are right about Bruce's "excellent" article but I didn't have any
drivers installed and was trying to add a network printer.
