Lite on error for DVD

[Marshal]

My Dell Dimension series dvd/cd drive is not working.
Device Manager reads Lite on DVD-Rom 163 with the yellow
exclamtion mark. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't
help. Any experience with this and/or ideas? Thanks.
