Changing avi to any picture type

How can I transport an avi file to picture file type?

Your avi file is a movie I imagine, and you want a single frame as a still
picture?
It depends on what software you are suing, but whichever should have a frame
grab selection, you set it so teh frame you want is on show in the preview
window, choose frame grab and it will produce a bitmap image of the frame,
save it and all is done. If you want it in jpeg/tiff or whatever, then you'd
need to open your photo editing software and resave.
