I have Windows XP Home Edition. I recently noticed that
Windows no longer recognizes drives F & G, which were my
DVD & CD Drives respectively. I restored my computer to
an earlier date that I knew they were recognized and this
worked. HOWEVER, the problem re-occured. System restore
does not solve the problem either. ADDITIONALLY, I can
not restore earlier than a week ago!.

HELP!!!

Download this fix to fix missing Cd drives or drives with error 39
etc:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_cd_dvd_fix.htm. Download
the vbs
script file, double click it and click yes when prompted. You will
need to
reboot for the changes to take effect.

(PS: If you read previous entries (about a million of them) you would
have found the answer already).
