hi,
i would suggest putting in the hardware right and then
putting a copy of windows over the copy your using because
i have had problems like that with hardware before best
way to do it is boot the xp cd rrom cd rom then when you
get to setup choose set up windows xp it will detect that
u already have it installed just keep going and instal it.
It keeps al lyour programs etc intact it just puts a fresh
copy from the cd over what you have got.
i had a problem see i removed my soundcard for a while to
investigate a problem and when i put it back in it wouldnt
instal al ldrivers and then i got it to instal them all
but still no sound so i did this and it solved the problem
