I'm currently lock-in to 16 colours... like safe mode configuration. When I attempt to change the settings
to 16 bit or any other option and hit the "apply," button the computer reboots but reverts back to the
16 colour format. The system shows it to be "Plug and Play Monitor on All-in Wonder (ati_m64)

In older versions of windows, you can change the color of
the caption box on your icons. FOr instance, the "My
Computer" icon, the area with the text below the icon, you
could change the background to be any color you want to
contrast against the desktop image.

How can this be done with WIN XP Home?

And who was the dummy that took that option off?
