XP Windows driver compatibilities

I am upgrading my windows 98 Upgrade version to XP Prof.
Windows. I am getting an error that states that I have
several pieces of hardware that "COULD" possibly not work
after installation. If I install it will it incapacitate
my printer, scanner, CD ROM and key board or will it read
them as a plug and play device after installation?

Hello

Well my advise to you would be to go to to your website for
your Printer, Scanner and see if they have updated drivers for
XP, as far as your cdrom, that will work fine, also depending
on some softwa will not work with XP ok Research to make sure
that all that you currently have will support the new OS or else
you will have problem
