my harddrive started making clicking sounds and now my
computer says that I don't have an installed harddrive(in
the bios) and I cannot access my windows. It keeps telling
me to insert bot diskette, but I have not any. I have the
windows Xp operating system on notebook computer..."help"

Your hard drive has died and gone to hard drive heaven.
Start shopping for a new one and reinstall Windows XP.

Sounds to me like your hard drive just went south and has went to hard drive
heaven.
