reformatting??

I have a Dell 8200 with Windows XP which is not
compatible with my scanner or digital camera. I would
like to return to Windows 98...In PLAIN, EASY to
understand English, can someone talk me through this?

1. Delete the Windows XP partition.
2. Create a new partition.
3. Format the new partition FAT32.
4. Install Windows 98.

Boot from a windows 98 boot disk and run fdisk and
delete the partition that XP is installed on. May have to
delete non-dos partition if it was formatted as NTFS.
Create a new primary partion then reboot and format
the new partion. Insert your 98 CD and run setup.
