This may be a dumb question. I had Windows 98 and used
Netscape to get my email. I had old messages stored. I
went to Windows XP and now all my old messages are gone.
How can I ge my old messages?

Using a text editor, open the stored mail files (same name as the mail
folders in NS Messenger - with NO extension).
Mail messages will be shown one after another.
You may be interested in the new NS7.1, which is more configuable than is
I.E. Old mail files can be copied to its MAIL directory (folder), where
they will be shown just as they were in your old NetScape.
Visit snews://secnews.netscape.com/netscape.netscape7.windows for info on
that product.
To download one of the many "flavors", visit http://sillydog.org/narchive
The browser alone can be installed, if desired. It won't affect I.E. in any
way.
