View Full Version : driver problem

I have a Brother MFC 9600 multi-function
printer/scanner. The drivers supplied with the machine
work perfectly in Windows 98, but can't be used with
Windows XP. Brother advises using the "built-in" drivers
in Windows XP, and indeed XP recognizes the device and
installs its own drivers. The printer works, but the
scanner does not (well, one out of 10 tries works, but
the others report errors communicating with the scanner).
Anybody know where a driver is to make the scanner work?
Please reply to
Thanks,
Alan

There are usually very good drivers included in the box with
a new device.

Hello
Your pretty much out of luck, Brother will have to provide drivers
for it, if not as I said out of luck, maybe the link below may help but
the drivers will need to come from Brother
