Add DVD Drive to Windows XP Home

I purchased a Dell computer with Windows XP home. I would like to add a DVD
drive to this machine. What problems are likely to occur by doing this as
far as licensing etc. I am thinking I may have to reformat sometime in the
future and might have a problem if I have added new hardware.
