I am having a problem and I wonder if any of you has ever
seen this or know how to repair it. I have a Soyo KT400
Dragon Ultra (Platinum Edition) Motherboard and a AMD
Athalon XP 2400+. The processor by default is supposed
to read as a 2 GHz Processor however Windows XP is
reading it as a 1 GHz processor. Now the strange thing
about this is that sometimes it does it and sometimes it
does not. I thought it was the temp of the CPU. So, I
cleaned the fan and CPU and reapplied heatsink. It
started reading right until I rebooted my computer after
a driver install and it started reading at 1 GHz again.
I have done everything but re-flash the motherboards BIOS
and I am stumped. Can anyone please help.

Are the FSB and multiplier setup correctly on the BIOS. I believe 2400XP is
266mhz so the memory should be set to 133.
