I want to backup my Quicken files to one CD-RW rather
than multiple floppies, but I get a "can not write to
drive F:" error. The Quicken help say to configure the CD-
RW drive to work like an alternate hard drive. The CD-RW
drive is configured to record, so what gives?

You need "packet writing", which is a part of CD Creator and Nero. Then you
can format your CD-RW just as a hard drive and use it as one.

XP's rudimentary CD Recording program does not permit backing up data
directly to a CD. You must create a new folder on your hard drive, =
perform
a backup to that folder, then record the contents of that folder to a =
CD.
