downloading fonts

We recently upgraded to XP and I realized that many of the
fonts I used are no longer available. I was told that
these could be downloaded, but can anyone tell me how?

Usually Windows will keep the fonts that had been installed in your
previous Windows version. If you post the name of the missing fonts
here you may get links to from where you can download them. Of course,
you can alternatively feed an Internet search engine with the names.
