I have a Toshiba A25-S207. I upgraded to XP Pro (from XP
Home Edition), and everything appeared to work perfectly,
but now USB devices are not recognized when they are
plugged in. All USB device drivers (in the Device
Manager) say "This device is working properly." The only
thing that looks iffy is that the "USB Root Hub" and "NEC
PCI to USB Open Host Controller" device drivers appear to
be duplicated. I disabled the duplicated ones, but this
had no impact.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem and found that USB 2.0 does not work after
installing the SD device driver.

Reinstall SP1. The upgrade from Home to Pro wiped it out.
