I keep finding duplicate files in my photos. They are
dimmed and they all say the file name is: hpothb07. When
I delete them they come right back in another pic folder.
Is this a virus? And how do I get rid of it?

Jill, its not a virus, you have the scanning program of HP
(Hewlett-Packard ) (DIRECTOR) that has a file browser that created
thumbnails of the images you see.
That creates the HPothb07 = HP thumnails.....
Im not sure if you can disable the creation of those files from the DIRECTOR
program but you can hide them.
If you dont want to see them anymore you must make windows explorer to not
see hidden files. You can do that from:
1 ) RUN WINDOWS EXPLORER or open MY COMPUTER
2) go to TOOLS> FOLDER OPTIONS
3) and on the VIEW TAB make sure you select the: DO NOT SHOW HIDDEN FILES
AND FOLDERS

I know that this is a stupid feature of the Director HP software.
