Installing new programs

Having trouble installing new programs from either the F
Drive (DVD) or G Drive (CD-RW). When putting the program
disk in, nothing happens, and when trying to add new
programs from control panel, can not get the program
install to come up. Wife has been frustrated with the
computer mainly due to number of stuff kids have
downloaded and she has deleted some stuff. Could she
have deleted a windows Xp file that would cause this?

If you click on the CD rom does the files show? If so click on the setup
file or install file.

Did you check to see if autorun is enable? Goto My Computer right click on
CD rom, Properties, AutoRun tab.
