View Full Version : getting rid of annoying folders

Anyone know how to get rid of those EXTREMELY
annoying "My Computer," "My Music," "My eBooks" etc...
folders? They are soooooo annoying and I've tried
everything I can think of from hiding them to deleting
them, but nothing works. Is there actually a way to get
rid of them or will I just have to live with them?
Another is: Is there a way to control auto-complete? I
type things in one place and autocomplete fills it in at
other places sometimes. I also want to have control of
what stays in auto-complete and what I can delete from it
to protect my privacy. Is there a way to delete what's
typed in auto-complete and is there a way to set my
options somewhere? Any help is appreciated!

certainly you can delete most of those if they appear in 'My Documents'
folder..If that is what you are looking at... Also get tweakui utility from
Microsoft page which will allow certain tweaks you might like for XP..

icons on the desktop by doing the following. Right click on the desktop and
in "Arrange Icons" uncheck the option "Show Icons on Desktop". This will not
show icons on the desktop.

These folders exist to make saved files that much easier to find.. why are
they so annoying?.. re. auto complete, the choice is simple.. either auto
complete or do it manually..

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\Plug_ins
and move the
