Hi wonder if anyone can help. My standby functionality
has been failing for some time now - I can't remember
when if first failed. I'm using XP home on a Siemens
laptop. It fails after inactivity, when I close the lid
or when I try to use this function on the Turn Off
Computer dialogue.
I get an error message with the same title as subject
line of this post. It advises me that to close other
applications or update the driver for the Digital Flat
Panel (1024 x 768) Driver. This is an MS Driver but there
does not appear to be an updated driver available.
I had some problems with two MS Security Patches, they
were really slowing things down on my machine, so I
removed them via the Control Panel | Add or Remove
Programs, just wonder if this might have caused the
problem?
