I recently purchased a Pentium IV machine with Windows
Professional and Word 2000. My last machine came installed
with Windows 95, and Microsoft Works. It had Microsoft
Phone and a "Read file" icon on the tools bar. Using the
"read" option I could highlite part of a text or choose to
read the entire document and the machine had the ability to
read back to me the selected text. One option included
inthe program was my ability to choose what voice the
machine used to read the text back to me. It is my
undestanding that XP Professional has the ability to do the
same but I am unable to find this option, since it is not
listed as a program. How do I acces this option in XP? If
it is not part of XP, where can I find this program? I
also had Microsoft Phone installed on the old machine but I
have seen some text saying that MS Phone will not run on
XP. Is this true? If so, is there another program with
the same functions as MS Phone. I found the options of
talking on the phone while working on the computer most
prodictive.
Can you help me?
