setting up a cdrw and a dvd-r so both can record

Does anyone know how to setup both a cdrw and a dvd-r so
that they can both record. I have a liteon 52x32x24 and a
Pioneer A03 if I go into properties and check the record
box it unchecks it for the other device

Perhaps if you used a third-party utility to do your recording tasks,
you would be able to select the device used for recording. I know you
can select the recording device within Nero.

XP's recording facilities are very rudimentary. You cannot even close a
music CD so that it can be played in your portable CD player.
