cd-rom not reading disc

When I put in a disc the computer says "cd-rom drive
error.

Hello

Well have you ben able to read any cdrom at all, and also
type or model of your pc. You could have a bad cdrom, how
old is your pc if still under warranty have it serviced. Also
is it a specific cd or any cd's can you confirm that
