I recently purchased the XP Home Edition Upgrade for my
laptop, which was running Me. Everything seemed to be
going to plan; however, after the 'Re-start' my laptop
has been stuck in preparation!!! At last check it had
been 'preparing' for 16 hours. The running cubes in the
lower right hand corner are moving but the progress bar
seems to have stopped at just shy of 50%. Any suggetions
on what the resolution may be or how to re-install would
be appreciated. After initially having stopped for 3
hours, I turned my machine off and when it came back up,
it goes back to the preparation screen - so I don't have
access to the 'Start' menu or anything.
