trouble burning data cd using XP

Hi,
My work desktop is having issues and my IT guy isn't
helping. I use XP at home and burn data CDs no problem.
At work I cannot burn folders, only files. In other
words if I have a single jpeg file and a folder of
several others, it will get hung up on the folder and
only burn the jpeg file. When I look at the window it
tells me that there are files still to be written (the
folder) but the jpeg file is on the disk. When I try to
delete temporary files to be written (the folder) it
tells me that someone is currently using the file so it
cannot be deleted, allthough I am not using the file. I
have to reboot my computer and then go in and I can
delete the file then.
I am wasting so many disks trying to figure this thing
out.
