View Full Version : Problem Using Camcorder as Webcam

April 28th 04, 08:14 AM
I have my camcorder connected to my computer via FireWire
(IEEE 1394), and I was using Windows Messenger to have a
video conference. Now, Windows Messenger does not
recognize my camera as a webcam, and I cannot send
video. I want to get back to the "Camera Wizard" that
came up when I started a video conversation for the first
time. Does anyone know how to bring up this wizard?

Greetings,

Yes, since you most likely disconnect camera regularly, you have to go through the wizard
again to select this device -- open up the main Windows Messenger window, click the Tools
menu, then click Audio Tuning Wizard (which also does video).
